Chat with Timothy Ferriss
A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to sit down with Timothy Ferriss to talk about his book, The 4-Hour Workweek. That video is now posted in the Authors@Google Series over on the Google Channel on YouTube.
You can see it below, or on YouTube.

GTAC 2008
The GTAC team announced the dates of the 2008 conference on the Google Testing Blog. It will be on October 23 and 24 in Seattle.
I haven't talked about this much publicly, but now would be a good time to let people know that I'm not organizing this GTAC. I changed roles at Google about 8 months ago, and am now leading a development team in London.
When I moved out of the testing organization, it didn't make sense for me to continue to manage Google's testing conference, so I handed that responsibility over to a great team.

Use Google for currency conversions
A few minutes ago I got an email from some friends who are planning to come to London for a visit this summer. My friend was asking about currency rates saying that he heard they were pretty bad (they are).
I pointed him to the currency calculator on Google, and gave him a couple of sample queries to get him started. For example he wanted to know what the exchange rate was for the £, that query is "1 GBP in USD", he also wanted to know the same for Paris, "1 EUR in USD".
I use these tools all the time for expense reports and vacation planning,
