Travel without a laptop
I've been looking into the possibility of traveling without a laptop.
Last December my wife and I took a week long vacation in Germany. On that trip we visited several cities and did all our travelling by train, so we packed light.
Today we're in California for a few days. This was a last minute trip so, again, we found the need to pack light.
On both trips we've been pretty happy using our iPhones instead of hauling along our laptops and the assorted cables that go with them.
The only difficulty I've had is using my calendar. Google calendar has a custom iphone interface, but that interface doesn't allow you to cancel appointments. I had to borrow a computer for that.
Other than calendar issues though, everything has gone smoothly with email, rss, maps, and now blogging.

Yeah, the Google Calendar iPhone Interface definitely needs an improvement or even better an Integration into the iPhone calendar.
Get yourself an Asus EEE, Allen. You still have the cable, but if you have a big jacket, you practically can carry it in your pocket (I scored big "good girlfriend" points this year with it :D )
I've been thinking about the Asus EEE. I haven't bought one yet because I'm waiting to see what Apple introduces at Macworld next week. There are rumors of an ultra-portable macbook, and that would work slightly better for me if the size is right.
